Earlier, several of the injured were reported to be in "very, very serious condition," according to highway patrol spokeswoman Wanda Diaz. The injured included 13 people taken to hospitals and two treated at the scene, Orange County Fire Rescue said in a tweet.
Local television showed multiple people, including children, being carried out on stretchers.
Small children and infants in cribs were evacuated outside on the playground, the Associated Press reported.
A spokesperson for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said that the vehicle that crashed into the center was struck by another driver who left the scene, MyFoxOrlando.com reported. Police are searching for the second vehicle.
