A video circulating widely on social media shows a teacher at a violence-prone Philadelphia high school lying on the ground unconscious moments after being viciously attacked by a student.
The incident took place Thursday and it was the third time in a month a student had assaulted a teacher at the city’s dangerous Bartram High School.
“He told me ‘get the f--- out of my face,’ substitute English teacher Pewu Johnson told the NBC affiliate in Philadelphia Friday.
Johnson said he had reprimanded the student after he saw a female student sitting on the student’s lap in an inappropriate manner.
“The boy dropped me down with so much force,” Johnson told the station. “I was out.”
“I was out.”

The video shows Johnson stretched out on the floor in the school’s hallway while students look on.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Saturday that a student posted the video on Vine, a video-sharing service.
The newspaper said one student posted a comment on Twitter that said “Old head go put to sleep in Bartram,” while others chimed in.
Johnson said he would file a criminal complaint against the student, while the Philadelphia School District said in a statement the student was suspended and faces expulsion.
The Inquirer said the other attacks put the school on edge.
On Oct. 21, a 9th-grader pushed a teacher to the ground twice when the teacher tried to stop the student from snatching her laptop.
On Oct. 9, a 12th-grade student punched a teacher in the face when the teacher tried to block another student from leaving the classroom to go watch a fight among students.
